The social network’s COO Sheryl Sandberg told BBC Breakfast that “the word ‘online’ is becoming an old-fashioned” because people are used to being on the internet at all times.
But if that sounds scary to you – like maybe the website is trying to track your movements and thoughts to sell to advertisers – Sandberg said, well, it shouldn’t.
Facebook is very protective of its users’ privacy and personal data despite the use of personalised advertisements, Sandberg said.
